|Lynn Mathre is President and Founder of Asset Management Advisors, Inc., an SEC registered investment advisor. Ms. Mathre has focused her professional career on the understanding and application of tax-aware wealth management methods, and has provided comprehensive wealth management to professionals, executives and retirees since 1983.
She has been profiled by Business Week, Journal of Accountancy, Smart Money and Bloomberg Wealth Management, and featured on the PBS Program, The Financial Advisors. Ms. Mathre was most recently recognized in Texas Monthly Magazine as one of the Houston Region's 2010 FIVE STAR Wealth Managers, and in a special edition of Houston Woman Magazine as one of the 50 Most Influential Women of 2009.
Her experience, prior to establishing Asset Management Advisors in 1986, includes serving as a Managing Partner of a financial planning firm and more than four years of tax practice in public accounting. Ms. Mathre received her B.A. in Sociology and Master of Accounting from Rice University.
In addition to her support of the United Way Women’s Initiative where Ms. Mathre serves as co-chair of the Steering Committee, she currently serves as a board member for the Houston Grand Opera and chaired its charitable planned giving Laureate Society. She is also Treasurer and former President of the Orange Show Foundation for Visionary Art, which produces the largest annual art car parade in the country. Ms. Mathre is a finance committee member and former board member for Post Oak School, the Montessori school her daughter attended. She is a board member of the Northwest Harris County Division of the American Heart Association and former Chairman of the Board of Interfaith CarePartners, a charity that coordinates volunteer caregivers through churches and synagogues. Ms. Mathre has chaired and supported many charity events over the years.
In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling with her husband Stewart O’Dell – a fellow Rice graduate.
|Mary Rinaldi has been a Financial Advisor with Asset Management Advisors since 2004. Her background includes taxation, ERISA, banking, and institutional investment management.
In addition to providing financial planning and client relationship management support, Ms. Rinaldi performs employee benefit and stock plan reviews, RMD computations, Roth IRA conversion analyses, tax return reviews, portfolio rebalancing analyses, and provides estate planning recommendations. She coordinates with legal counsel, insurance providers, and tax accountants on clients' behalf, when necessary.
Ms. Rinaldi is a Certified Financial Planner, and received her B.A. from Notre Dame College in 1977.
|Douglas Vaughan has been with the firm since 1995 and has over 30 years of experience in financial services. In his role as Financial Planner, he is responsible for the research, development, implementation, and monitoring of investment and planning strategies, specializing in "ad hoc" complex analyses, models, and projections. With an eye for detail and an innate ability to think outside of the box, he is highly adept in the application of technical resources.
Mr. Vaughan received a B.A. in Accounting from Indiana State University at Evansville in 1978 and an MBA from the University of Houston in 1988. In 1981, he received his Certificate in Public Accounting from Ohio and reciprocated to Texas in 1997. He became a Personal Financial Specialist in 1999 and is a member of the AICPA.
|Rebecca Janacek has been a Planner with Asset Management Advisors since October 2003, bringing with her over 13 years of experience in the financial services industry, preceded by five years in advertising. She is primarily responsible for back office support and operations, with focuses on portfolio accounting, quarterly investment reporting, invoicing, and internal audits. In addition, Mrs. Janacek provides direct client service support, works on special projects, as well as assists with the implementation of new systems and procedures.
Mrs. Janacek expands her knowledge of the industry through continuing education and professional development programs. She currently holds an AAS in Accounting from San Jacinto College, a Financial Planning Certification from the University of Houston, and is a Registered Paraplanner.
|Cynthia Hemmer Janac joined Asset Management Advisors as a Client Service Specialist in July 2006. Before joining the team, Mrs. Hemmer Janac accumulated 20 years in the financial, investment and banking industries.
Her duties include the preparation of new client paperwork and investment account set-up, as well as trade execution. She communicates directly with clients to assist on service issues and provides operational support to fellow team members, and has various other administative duties.
After graduating from Kingwood High School, Mrs. Hemmer Janac completed Business and Accounting classes at Houston Community College.
